Expert Pelvic Floor & Orthopedic Physical Therapy

There is no one-size-fits-all program for pelvic floor issues. Sometimes muscles need to be strengthened, sometimes they need to learn how to relax. And many times they need both. Every treatment plan we build starts with an extensive musculoskeletal evaluation and a real conversation with you.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy: How We Work

At Foundations Physical Therapy, we take the time to understand what is actually driving your symptoms — because the pelvic floor rarely works alone. Your treatment plan is built around your body, your goals, and the conditions of your daily life.

01

Extensive Evaluation

Your first visit is a full hour. We take a detailed history, assess posture, movement, and strength, and talk through what has and hasn't worked for you in the past.

02

Personalized Treatment

Your plan may include a combination of targeted exercises, manual therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization, or biofeedback. No canned protocols.

03

One-on-One Attention

Every session is one full hour with your specialist. No aides, no overlapping appointments, no distractions. Just the care you came for.

The Methods We Bring to Every Treatment

Manual Therapy & Myofascial Release

Hands-on work to release tight fascia, address trigger points, and restore mobility to tissues around the pelvic floor, hips, and abdomen.

Joint Mobilization

Gentle, targeted movements to restore healthy motion in the pelvis, lumbar spine, hips, and SI joints — often overlooked contributors to pelvic symptoms.

Targeted Therapeutic Exercise

Individualized strengthening, stretching, and motor control work to retrain how your pelvic floor and core work together — at rest and in daily life.

Biofeedback

Real-time feedback on muscle activity so you can see and feel what your pelvic floor is doing. Especially useful when you're learning to either activate or relax these muscles.

Education & Coaching

Understanding your body is the most powerful treatment. We explain the why, give you tools to use between visits, and teach you how to move well for the long term.

Whole-Body Orthopedic Care

We're not just pelvic floor specialists. We treat back pain, hip pain, pregnancy-related aches, and post-surgical recovery with the same one-on-one care model.

Why We're Out-of-Network

To provide the level of care our patients deserve, Foundations Physical Therapy does not participate with insurance plans other than Medicare. We spend a full hour with each patient at every session — a standard of care that wouldn't be possible inside most insurance contracts.

We are considered out-of-network across all carriers and submit claims on your behalf. If you have out-of-network physical therapy benefits, we'll verify your coverage when you submit your intake form.

At the time of your appointment, you pay a coinsurance (if you have out-of-network benefits) or the full fee. Medicare patients pay at the time of service and are reimbursed directly by Medicare.
